Tamanomics

An overview

Successful tokenomics are about making sure that success of the token should translate into success for the project, and vice-versa. Most NFT projects struggle to achieve mass adoption and create lasting value due to the constant struggle of the initial hyper-appreciating values of their underlying tokens (if successful) thus making entry into collection and gaming become increasingly unobtainable. This barrier to entry caps growth, and leaves projects struggling to move forward.

The challenge thus is to create a structure that rewards and incentivizes ownership and participation in the ecosystem (TME, TMC, Tamags, Frenzies, Accessory NFTs) while also ensuring that the on-ramp for entry remains relatively affordable so the game continues to grow.

With all of this in mind, we present Tamanomics. Our carefully crafted framework designed to to ensure balanced gameplay design, reward project supporters, and create longevity for the platform

The Idea

Reward people not solely on the appreciation of the individual token or NFT but instead on indirect ownership of the growing game itself thus rewarding initial community and players by the growth of the overall network they have all helped to create.

The approach has been consciously created akin to a cooperative and we do not want to go down the path of a referral based MLM or ponzinomics which by their nature would concentrate the benefit of the platform in the hands of a select few.

Gameplay

First and foremost, this is a game platform, and we have designed the economy around the game design and the player. We have laid the groundwork for the game mechanics out first, this has allowed us to build the economy to ensure long-term Platform viability, and create a rewarding economy for all community members.

Tamags

Tamags will come in 3 variations. Alpha, Beast, and Tamini

A) Alphas
These Tamags are the pinnacle of Tamag performance in all measurable metrics, both in gameplay and long term participation in the platforms growth. They receive full stats with no dilution.
Hatching an Alpha will cost 1 TME

B) Beasts
The Beast Tamags are a mid-tier option, but reliable warrior Tamags who are born to play the game, and play it hard. On average, their starting stats are ~1/3rd of the power when compared to the Alpha Tamags
Hatching a Beast will cost 0.25 TME
(Stats will be randomly assigned, but will be reduced to 33% of their relative stat values)

C) Taminis
The Taminis are the most affordable of all Tamags. They have a base starting stat level of 5% when compared to Alpha tamags. They are the ideal entry for the most recreational users, who are just getting their feet wet with NFT gaming and collecting.
Hatching a Tamini will cost 0.05 TME
(Stats will be randomly assigned, but will be reduced to 5% of their relative stat values)

note* the decision to include lower cost/lower stat Tamags was to ensure that the game is approachable and playable by anyone who wishes to play without regard for the amounts they are willing to invest into the game. We want the barrier to entry to be low, but for it to also be competitive for those who are willing to invest the time and capital into the game for a more powerful Tamag. This will ensure long term viability of the platform, and ensure that all community members are rewarded with that growth.

Battles

At the heart and soul of the Niftyverse, lies the Battle Arena, a place where all Tamags must go to prove themselves worthy.

The stronger your Tamag is, the more powerful it will be, and the more often it will be victorious in battle, so putting in the time to level up your Tamag will be rewarded.

Winners of battles are awarded in TME and other in game items. The rewards will come from the NiftyVault (more details below) with the TME initially being provided through the existing TME reserves currently locked by the team in a contract for this purpose.

The multi-round battle system will be unveiled after the launch of the nursery.

In game items

There will be many items available for purchase within the game world. These may include, but not limited to:

Frenzies — Stat boosts while equipped (varies based on Frenzie type)

Weapons — Attack stat boost while equipped

Equipment — Stat boost while equipped (varies based on equipment type)

Hats — Stat boost while equipped (stat type varies based on hat type)

Potions — Single use booster that is used as a timed effect to push up a specific stat for a set period of time.(we are currently looking into the viability and compatibility of this one)

These items will cost real cryptocurrency to buy. This may include TMC, TME, and ETH. 95% of all store proceeds will go to the vault to be recycled through the platform to fund reward distributions.

The NiftyVault

The NiftyVault is where the in game treasury is kept. This includes the revenue from buying in game items as well as from the hatching of Tamags.

The vault balances are redistributed within the game community as their Tamags win battles, and distributes the NiftyPension — passive rewards to all Alpha Tamags funded from the future hatching of all Tamags.

NiftyPension

This pension is funded by 100% of the NiftyVaults proceeds from the hatching of Alphas, and 20% of the NiftyVaults proceeds from the hatching of Beasts and Taminis.

The creation of more Alphas inevitably results in a reduced share of the NiftyPension for each Alpha, however, the redistribution process created from the hatching of future Alphas leaves them whole, allowing them to use these passive rewards to maintain their share of the pension fund, or to monetize this passive income that is created from the success of the game.

NiftyPensions are claimable by all Alpha tamags.

Earnings

All earnings in the stake restaurant are based on work power. The more work power your Tamags have, the more TMC they can earn.

As select in game items will only be made available for purchase in ETH, we will begin to stockpile ETH within the vault, such amounts can either be used to purchase TMC/TME and burn or periodically released with the corresponding amounts of NiftyTokens into the liquidity pools.

Development Fund

5% of all in game purchases, will be set aside for a development fund for ongoing development and maintenance of the platform, as well as to compensate the development team. This allocation can be evaluated over time based on the scale of development activities and ongoing operational costs of the Matic Bridge which will have to be initially covered.

Hatching a Tamag

As laid out above, there are 3 options for hatching.

Alphas for 1.00 TME
Beast for 0.25 TME
Taminis for 0.05 TME

As TME is used to hatch Tamags, it will no longer be burned, instead, this TME will be returned to the NiftyVault for distribution in Battles, as well as to provide passive NiftyPension rewards for all Alpha Tamags. This will create incentive to hatch Tamags and participate in the game using your TME.

The halting of TME burns will ensure longevity of the game, and have that value distributed directly to game participants and community members.

Upgrading your Tamag

Tamag’s that play the game will grow through the following stages of life within the game.

Stage 1 — Baby
Stage 2 — Teen
Stage 3 — Adult
Stage 4 — Elder

Each evolution cycle will provide upgrades to base stats.
As a baby Alpha can become an Elder Alpha, a Tamini Baby can become a Tamini Elder.

Upgrades will cost both time and in game TMC in order to upgrade your Tamag to its next level.
